Product Overview
H5003E, which was developed by Huahuan, provides various features and applies to different networking, meeting customers' requirements. H5003E is the latest generation of PCM Multiplexer of Huahuan. With the small size, lower power consumption, high reliability, H5003E is easy to maintain and manage, which saves space in the equipment room and minimizes the CAPEX and OPEX.
The H5003E can be widely used in electric power, oil, municipal administration, water resources monitoring, traffic, military etc. It supports transmission of monitoring, remote control, and alarm data signals, and provides dispatching phone and administrative phone services on the transport network. H5003E is fully applied to linear, ring, mesh network, achieving flexible networking applications. For easier operation and maintenance, unified GUI EMS based on DCN and DCC channel and web-based server are provided, CORBA is supported, local/remote loopback and embedded BER Tester are supported, meanwhile, online / local upgrade for firmware and software.
H5003E uses plug-in design and has 1 master-control cross-connect slot and 3 general slots. H5003E is divided into the following specific models according to the configuration.
Uplink card (MX040/MX080/MX240/MX241) supports 4/8E1 transmission ports, uplink cross-connect aggregation card (MX203/MX240/MX241) supports 2 STM-1 optical ports, which can connect to various remote devices with E1 ports or STM-1 optical ports, and directly transmit services. Service interface cards support the access of E1, voice, RS-232 asynchronous/synchronous data and other services.
Uplink card (MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241) contains an NM unit, which can be used to monitor and manage the device.
MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241 has built-in TUPP and cross connection functions, providing channel cross connection and concatenation of VC-12, VC-3, and VC-4 between service interface cards, between service interface cards and master-control cross-connect cards (MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241), and between master-control cross-connect cards (MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241). The cross connection capacity of MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241 is the full cross connection of 12 VC-4 and its sub-containers, in addition, providing the cross connection of 30 (excluding timeslot 16) or 31 (including timeslot 16) 64kbps timeslots of each E1 among 62 E1s simultaneously.
MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241 is built in with SDH device clock unit which complies with ITU-T G.813 standard. MX040/MX080 has a clock input port and a clock output port. According to the configured priority, the device clock can be locked with STM-1 interface clock, external input clock, E1 interface clock, or internal oscillator source, and maintain high-precision clock frequency when the reference clock is lost (holdover).
To facilitate commissioning and maintenance, when the device is configured with MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241; it features two built-in E1 BER testers, which can test the optical transmission channel and E1 transmission channel simultaneously.
For maintenance, all optical interface cards of the device support LOS alarm reversion function, which can be enabled through NMS and automatically or manually restored.
H5003E device supports remote management.
H5003E supports the following services on different ports:

  1. PCM voice services on FXO, FXS, hotline, magnet, 2/4-wire audio ports and EM
  2. Low-speed data services  including V.35, X.21, and C37.94, asynchronous data services (RS-232/V.24/V.28, RS-422, and RS-485/V.11), 64 kbit/s G.703 co-directional data/C37.94 teleprotection interface, Dry contact interface, High voltage protection interface etc.

Ethernet services including switching (VLAN), channel Ethernet services (Transparent).

Hardware Architecture

H5003E uses plug-in design and supports 4 unit cards, including 1 master-control cross-connect card (MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241) and 3 service interface cards. Power card should be installed on the right side of the chassis, ring generator board should be installed inside the device and master-control cross-connect card (MX040/MX080/MX203/MX240/MX241) should be installed in fixed slot. There are many types of service interface cards: 8-channel 2W/4W voice &EM signaling card (CH4WEM), 10-channel FXS interface card (FXS), 10-channel FXO interface card (FXO), 10-channel RS232 interface card (RS232). All cards support hot swapping. According to the different type of power card selected by users, the chassis structure can be divided into two types: PWR02A (~220V AC+-48V DC) power supply chassis and PWR01R (-48V DC) power supply chassis.
